Eighth grade is a very exciting year for students of Lake Castle. They are the student leaders of the school and serve as role models for our younger students. As a reward for doing the work that Lake Castle's demanding eighth-grade curriculum requires, they enjoy privileges, such as first lunch daily, class rings, class t-shirts, and a graduation luncheon hosted by the Parents' Club. It is an exciting and memorable year for them that culminates in a formal graduation ceremony second to no other elementary school in the metro area.
8th-Grade T-shirts
8th-Grade Rings
The 8th-grade ring ceremony is held in the fall of the 8th-grade year. It is held on the school campus and family is invited to attend.
8th-Grade Luncheon
Every year the Interested Parents' Club hosts a luncheon for the graduating class.
8th-Grade Graduation
The 8th-grade graduation is held at The Ridgeway of Old Metairie. The graduation ceremony is a very special and one-of-a-kind event. After the ceremony, a reception is held for the graduates and their families to enjoy fantastic food, music, and great memories, including a graduation video that captures highlights of all their years at Lake Castle.
